The floor of my being is covered over with words, mounted high and countless. These words lie at the bottom of my heart and soul.
Words gathered up by the heart and soul speak life truths, articulated in a gentle, reserved way. While words gathered up by the mind are life truths as well, only penned in a less than refined way.
I have the best of all worlds in a Native American Indian/Melungeon/Mountain heritage, careered in the professional corporate world.
Some words flow into a graceful Gospel song. Some words roll out onto book pages as jagged boulders, a bit rough around the edges. Braided together with laughter, all the heartbreaks and all the heart leaps of joy. Only then is one content to live out their days.

Beginning in 2014 and ending in 2025, this book has gone through endless hours (eleven years) of revising, tweaking, adding to, and deleting from to reaching its completion of, "There is nothing more I can say or do. It is all up to the Good Lord to give it wings to fly to whosoever it will."
The book may not for everyone. Some just will not understand it. Some will get it from the very first page. Some will relate. Some will not have a clue. However, if one has struggled with life, "religion", or faith (Lord, have mercy on the one who has struggled with all three)...then you might just find that one thing that hits so close to the heart. Here's hoping you cry, laugh, and find that moment of peace that all of us are so desperately searching for.
