The floor of my being is covered over with words, mounted high and innumerable. If asked to speak those words, or give a speech, I could not even if my life depended on it. Though I can sing those words before millions without ever a first thought.
So how do I articulate the words strewn about the floor?
2 Maccabees, Even so speech finely framed delighteth the ears of them that read the story. And here will I make an end.
I have the best of all worlds in a Mountain, Native American Indian, Melungeon heritage, careered in the professional corporate world.
The end of my speech. I can write those words without ever a first thought. Some words flow into a graceful Gospel song. Some words roll out onto book pages as jagged boulders, a bit rough around the edges. All are mercifully, unmercifully, true. The pen plays the music.
Christian, Gospel, a little Pentecostal/Church of God, a little bit Heathen, and Christmas too! I have never been so lost, yet so found.
